About us
Paulinus Singers
We are a chamber choir based in Ripon, North Yorkshire, rehearsing at St John’s Church, Sharow. The Paulinus Singers presents three or four concerts each year, often raising money for churches or charities. We learn the music in advance and come together for five rehearsals before each concert. The repertoire is very wide, ranging from the sixteenth century to the present day.
Thinking of joining us?
The members of the choir lead busy lives so we do not rehearse regularly each week. We learn the music in advance, and then come together for five rehearsals before each concert. Rehearsals are usually held on Tuesdays at St John’s Church, Sharow, near Ripon.
We have a friendly conductor, Shaun Turnbull, and we enjoy working together. The choir welcomes applications from singers of all voices, but we have to maintain balance between the parts and sometimes there is a waiting list. If you are a competent sight-singer, able to prepare music in advance and free on Tuesday evenings, please contact us.
